Welcome to A Shutter of Awe! We're glad you took time to visit this site.

Here you will find photography by my sixteen-year old daughter, and other members of our family, that digitally captures the awesome wonder of God's creation. We stand in awe of Him, because all of His works are wonderful. He created all things and by His will they were created and have their being.

"Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe." (Heb 12:28, NIV).

"Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah." (Ps 4:4)

"'For My hand made all these things, Thus all these things came into being,' declares the LORD 'But to this one I will look, To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.'" (Is 66:2).

"So then, my beloved...work out your salvation with fear and trembling." (Php 2:12b)

In light of God's Word, when we consider all the works His hands have made and Who He is, it should cause us to tremble before Him. We believe a holy shudder of awe in His presence is appropriate, and that's why we've called this blog A Shutter of Awe. We hope you will enjoy it.
