"He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, And vegetation for the labor of man, So that he may bring forth food from the earth." (Psa 104:14)

"As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes." (Psa 103:15)

"The grass withers, the flower fades, When the breath of the LORD blows upon it; Surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever." (Is 40:7-8)
